We,
Edward Wong Group, was founded in 1957. In those days, the "Edward Wong &
Company" engaged principally in wholesaling and retailing of leather goods
and accessory materials for shoemaking. |

With vigorous efforts, we
were able to expand our leather business and diversify into importing of
woollen yarns and synthetic fibres. In 1962, our business was incorporated
under the present name, "Edward Wong & Company Limited". Towards the end of
the 1960s, our business was further diversified into the export of garments,
and the fabric department was subsequently set up to complement the
Company's operations. |

Feeling the need for
miniature banking services of commercial and industrial enterprises in Hong
Kong, Edward Wong Finance Company Limited was incorporated in 1975 for
providing financing services to small and medium companies.In 1982,the Group
acquired a licensed deposit-taking company, which had been renamed as
"Edward Wong Credit Limited", an authorized institution under the regulation
of Hong Kong Monetary Authority. |

During the 1990's, the
Group diversified into real estate markets in Hong Kong, Canada, USA and the
PRC where it actively engaged in: properties investment, properties
development, development management and property management. Our head
quarter building in Hong Kong, Edward Wong Tower, completed back in 1992 was
one of our earlier development projects. It is the Group's long term
objective and commitment to invest in high quality projects and also to add
value to all our investments. With experience gained over the past years, it
is the Group's aim to become a reputable properties developer in the new
Millennium. |

Today, with a broad
vision of future trends, the Group has now fully computerized its
operations, and continues to add expertise to its information technology
department in order to cope with our business development. |

Over the last four
decades, we have successfully established ourselves as a reputable and
diversified group with businesses of trading, corporate banking and real
estate investment and development. We have now nearly 200 staff working
together to yield a yearly turnover of over 1 billion Hong Kong dollars.
